Doggie Chicken Pot Pie

Try this recipe for homemade chicken dog treats. It uses chicken powder and baby food. Vary the flavors and make other baby food dog treats by using different jars of baby food.

Doggie Chicken Pot Pie

What you need:

  • 1 package plain dog biscuit mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chicken powder
  • 1 small jar of baby food – mixed vegetables
  • Mixing bowl and spoon
  • Pre-greased cookie sheet
  • Lightly floured rolling pin
  • A baking mold of your choice or cookie cutters

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine the contents of the package with water, oil, chicken powder, and baby food vegetables. The mix will be stiff and dry. If the mix is too dry and not holding together, add a very small amount of water.

Press the dough into a baking mold to create a “pot pie.” Or roll out the dough and cut desired shapes with cookie cutters.

Place on a pre-greased cookie sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes on a middle oven rack. Turn off the oven heat and let the tray stay in the oven for 60 minutes more.
