Halloween Dog Cookies

Make simple Halloween dog cookies using a recipe for homemade dog biscuits, simple dog treat frosting, and Halloween cookie cutters.

What You Need:

  • 1 package Doggie Biscuit Mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • Rolling pin
  • 1 package Fido’s Frosting brand Royal Icing for Dogs
  • Icing colors: orange, black, green
  • Halloween cookie cutters

Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Mix the biscuit mix, water and oil to form a dough. Roll it out and cut desired shapes with the cookie cutters. Place the cut out dough on a non-stick cookie sheet and bake for 18-22 minutes. Turn the oven off and let the biscuits sit another 60 minutes to dry and harden.

Mix the Fido’s Frosting according to the directions on the package, depending on whether you will spread the frosting over the dog cookie, or pipe a design.

Divide the frosting into 4 small bowls so you can mix in the colored gels and have orange, green, black, and white (original color).

The dog treat icing was laid over the top of the cookie using a spatula. Make sure you let them dry completely. If possible, let them dry overnight while you sleep. Then, when you wake up, your dog cookies will be ready to go!
